From the very beginning, we have focused our business on suppliers to the healthcare market, providing disposable medical devices or parts thereof, such as flexible bags, rigid containers and tubing sets.
On the basis of our experience, we entered the biotechnology market in 2003 by realising the capacity to manufacture bags up to 1,500 litres and to assemble complex systems for biopharmaceutical processing in small batches. Ongoing trends in this market towards the ‘disposable factory’ have given Medistad the leverage to invest in required capacities to become a reputable player in this area too, in imitation of our position in healthcare.
Our worldwide customer base shows an exceptional mix, from leading multinationals to start-up ventures and from manufacturers to distributors. All our customers have in common that they believe in their products, and we are convinced we can make a difference for them.
As a spin-off from our business, we have applied our capacities to supply other markets as well, such as the veterinary market. In principle, our capacities can be of value for any kind of product where our experience in plastic processing is required to produce products with a high level of quality and reliability.
